Ernest Sales studied informatics because he was passionate about technology. He thought informatics was the door to an innovative world. He already started to work while in college, as most of his classmates, and experienced firsthand the technology revolution lead by informatics.
He has spent the last 26 years working for Hewlett Packard and has had responsibilities both at a national and international level in countries like the USA, Colombia or Mexico. When he first entered the company, he worked in the Health Care Information Systems department. He was part of the team that developed the software still used today in most Spanish hospitals. As the years passed, he moved on to several roles in the company from R&D and consultancy to sales and marketing or a country’s General Direction. In the last few years he has become the Vice President and General Director for several businesses in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and currently works from Barcelona as the general manager of the Graphics Solutions Business in the Imaging and Printing Group at Hewlett Packard.
