The FIB is research and innovation

Students are able to work on the various research projects underway at advanced research centres such as the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre, which houses Marenostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in the world; the Virtual Reality Centre; the  Nanoengineering Research Centre and the Biomedical Engineering Research Centre, as well as over 20 research groups, whose excellent scientific output is recognised through international standards.

Practical sessions are held in modern teaching laboratories, whilst classrooms are equipped with the very latest technologies needed to deploy new teaching methods.
